Well I was up at 5am to watch the Royal Wedding....AMAZING!! Karen and I had a texting conversation while watching. I thought William and Harry looked so handsome, and I loved the Beckham's wedding attire. BUT really this gal stole the show as it should be on her wedding day...
I've always been a fan of Alexander McQueen so I was happy that she used the House of Alexander McQueen for her dress. They also sang my favourite hymn of all time "Jerusalem"...we sang it at Winchester Cathedral on my last day at St Swithun's in England so it's always been close to my heart. Love it!!! Guess it's my English mother but there is something about hundreds of thousand of people in the crowd singing God Save the Queen that makes me choke up (okay I was bawling really).

I didn't get up for the wedding but did watch a replay of it when I got the kids off to school. I'm a total sucker for a wedding...have to admit I shed a tear or two! :) I did think of you this morning though...remembering how excited you were for this wedding!
ReplyDeleteI got on here SPECIFICALLY to see if you had posted anything. I was up early too, and watched the whole thing. It waas all so beautiful. And I was thinking of you too... so I wasn`t surprised to find this post. ;) It makes me happy to know you that well!! haha! Enjoy the rest of the coverage!

ReplyDeleteThat was so much fun to watch. You are right, AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about you that day and hoped you were loving the show. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to come back and leave one more comment :) I heard on one of the news channels that someone had asked the queen what she thought of the wedding and she answered with one word "Amazing" I remembered that was the title of your post and had to laugh a little!
ReplyDeleteI have a major girl crush on both of the Middleton sisters. Total classy babes.
ReplyDeleteHey, hope you had a nice birthday and were spoiled lots! That's cool that you lived in England for awhile.
